Built-Up & Modified Bitumen

Both built-up (BUR) and modified bitumen (MB) roof systems are generally composed of alternating layers of bitumen and reinforcing fabrics that create a finished membrane. BUR membrane installation for commercial roofing systems can either be hot applied or cold applied using modified asphalt while MB roof systems typically are installed as a two-ply system and almost always are fully adhered.
